Check the tension
The most common causes are waste yarn缠绕 around the feed rollers or belt slippage. Stop the machine and use a 0.1 g tension meter to measure the tension of each feeder; if the tension difference exceeds 0.3 cN, re-thread the yarn and remove any缠绕. -
Add a constant load
Insert a 1-g light-tension disc between the feeder and the cylinder (or replace the original 2-g spring with a 1-g one). At a 90° wrap angle, this can keep tension fluctuations below 0.2 cN and immediately upgrade the shade-band grade from 2 to 4. -
Balanced winding
Uneven tension on the batch rollers can also cause “false banding.” Reset the sprocket ratio to 1:1.02 (cylinder to winding) to ensure the fabric is always slightly overfed; the wavy pattern will disappear and the fabric edges will become smooth and even.
Follow the steps in order, and normal operation can be restored within 20–30 minutes—no need to modify the recipe or change the yarn.
